It’s warming up in the northwest and I’m getting ready for my solo exhibition of new work inspired by lichen and symbiosis, Synergia!

I’m excited that my cousin, Nancy Lawson Carcione, just retired from Los Angeles County Museum of Art, will be joining me from California, on the 26th! Sit back, listen and enjoy the art, or join our conversation. And the icing on the cake, the wonderful WB Reid and Bonnie Zahnow will fill the art gallery with music!

Special Closing Reception Saturday July 26, 2–5pm with
2:15 pm Artist Talk, Andrea K. Lawson in conversation with Nancy Lawson Carcione, retired from a forty year career at LACMA 
followed by live music with WB Reid and Bonnie Zahnow’s toe tapping dance, old time, and fiddle tunes!

Core Gallery is located in the Tashiro Kaplan Bldg in Pioneer Square.
Getting there: just 4-5 blocks from the Seattle wsf and kitsap fast ferry terminal, or light rail. (From the ferry, walking east on Washington st. is the most direct route.)
Limited free Parking right in front of the gallery, in the neighborhood, or park in lots just diagonally across on Washington St. or on Third Ave. During the opening reception/gallery walk, pick up a free gallery parking pass.

Lichen Ephemeral, oil on canvas, 30 x 40" In my new exhibition of paintings and mixed media prints, Synergia, I’m compelled to express the profound symbiotic relationship that I feel is missing in our human world, which has been expressed for eons in the micro-world of lichen. My new artwork ranges from 4” paintings to large 60” paintings, and new intaglio mixed media prints.
