      Throughout my childhood, I created drawings and stories about imagined people. When I was a little older, I went to art school in New York city to paint and sculpt. There I learned to permeate my illustrations with light and texture.

      My dreams are filled with color, humor and joyful images.  I create paintings and illustrations in a variety of media, using oil, acrylic, pastel, ink and wash and non-toxic etchings. 

      What I love is: friendly mice, flying bunnies and sunsets from the beach. What I also like to see from my studio on the beach is: romantic schooners that might be pirate ships, blue herons and northern elephant seals. 

       I have both written and illustrated several children's books. My article, Magic Ring is forthcoming in Highlights Magazine. I  am a member of The Society of Children's Book Writers and Illustrators.
